- wrote the MCAT in 2021 & scored a 502 - not a great score but itโs the bare minimum to be eligible to apply to some med schools (ex: University of Toronto)
- subsequently, got rejected from all the medical schools I applied to that year
- did not get any summer internships in summer 2022 despite applying to many opportunities. i got ghosted from most of them. however, I did land a job as a program assistant at Shad Waterloo, and it was the best job of my life
- rejected from MaRS internship for summer 2023
- I have never won a student election. ran for first year rep (1st year of undergrad) and academic coordinator (3rd year of undergrad) for the health sciences student council and lost both times
- rejected from becoming a teaching assistant (TA) in undergrad for both cell biology and anatomy courses
- took me three years to become a welcome week / orientation week representative for my program. I wanted it so badly since first year, but got rejected for two years in a row
- I had three top 3 university programs (university of toronto life science, queenโs health science, mcmaster health science) in mind when I was in high school and only got accepted to one of them (mcmaster health science), which is all I needed
- rejected from Global Changemakers Summit for 2024
- been able to grow Invite Health to 1,000 followers in 2 years but have not made a single dollar from building itโฆ despite how much I preach that students should get paid for their work
- 2025 Post-Grad Job Search:
- rejected from McKinsey, Bain, BCG for 2025 grad consulting jobs
